Art shaping the culture and society, hence its important no matter where you are. As for Malaysia, all races contributes to the art scene development which is great. It just that we all ( between race) aren't really come in place, in order to show our real strength as one. Our art still pretty much revolve around the race & religion, and that entity division will stay for god knows how long. So back again to your question, Yes.
