I am hoping to attempt repairing the rust on my 05 Escape as soon as the weather turns warmer. I see rust like this on many Escapes. You'd think they would design it better so this wouldn't happen. I plan to get the patch panels, cut out the rust and weld in the patch panels, then grind, sand, prime and paint. Anyone else ever repair their Escape for this kind of rust? How did it work out? Any advice before I tackle it?
